Kanye West is either sticking up for T.I.‘s controversial virginity check confession, or he’s defending something unrelated Tip touched on more than a year ago. You decide.
Ye was in DTLA this weekend holding a Sunday Service at the Union Rescue Mission on Skid Row, which is a homeless shelter that offers food and spiritual guidance for the needy. While there with his usual choir, he got on the mic at one point to do some preaching.

He got into a lot of different topics — including how Sunday Service itself saved him since it began a full year ago. One eyebrow-raising thing he appeared to allude to, though, was T.I.’s highly scrutinized comments from earlier this year about how he once brought his daughter to the gynecologist … strictly for the purpose of making sure she was a virgin.
Check out the clip … it sounds like Ye’s referring to that here, and it also sounds like he’s defending his pal — going on to call whatever T.I. did or said “God approved.”

Now, it’s possible Kanye was talking about something completely different from back in May 2018 … because he quickly pivoted to denouncing the death penalty right after name-dropping T.I. — and it just so happens T.I. shared some thoughts on that topic too.
Long story short … T.I. compared rapper Tay-K — who’s been charged with murder — to an accused school shooter with a meme that showed Tay was facing the death penalty, while the alleged shooter was simply facing life in prison. That meme was inaccurate BTW, but T.I.’s point was white suspects and/or prisoners are treated better than black ones.
So, while it’s feasible Kanye could’ve been dishing on that T.I.-moment from over 18 months ago … it’s more likely he was talking 2019. Fact is, he didn’t clarify … who knows 🤷🏽♂️
