Hi Lexi. Thank you for chatting with us! We heard you have
new music dropping soon. Describe it in 5 words or less.
Positive, buttery, neo-soul.
Where do you record and are you self-produced?
A hodgepodge of my and my friend’s home studios. I record my
vocals at my home studio in Brooklyn. My bass player Alex, guitar player Greg,
and multi-instrumentalist Ryan record remotely at their places, and my drummer
Chris plays it by ear depending on the setup needed. Everyone pretty much does
their thing at their own home studios and then sends their parts to me and my
friend/co-producer, Ken Connolly. I produce all the vocals, and do some of the
editing for the other instrumental parts. Ken plugs everything else in and
helps me figure out and execute the missing pieces.
We believe everyone has a champion in life. Who is yours?
I feel a bit self-aggrandizing saying myself, but I think we
all need to be our own champions. I pride myself on being self-made and putting
the work in to get where I want to be. I owe a huge thanks to everyone that’s
supported me on my journey, from family and friends to my new team. At the end
of the day though, I need to believe in and advocate for myself.
Tell us your favorite song on radio right now!
Probably “Trampoline” by SHAED. My friends went on tour with
them before they blew up and watching them progress has given me a lot of hope
and inspiration. Plus, I read the Kingkiller Chronicle series and think they’re
badass for choosing a name from those books.
Where do you see yourself musically in 5 years?
In 5 years I hope to be touring consistently. I want to
release a couple full-length albums and experiment with writing songs for other
artists too.
Where can we download, buy and support your music as soon as
possible?
All the places! Spotify is my preferred platform, but you can
find me on all major platforms, including Apple Music, Tidal, Deezer,
SoundCloud and more.
