Hello Cassandra! Thank you for chatting with us. Tell us a
little bit about your musical background.
I grew up doing musical theatre. I always sang. Singing has
always been a part of me. It was and is always how I connect with myself. It is
how I love and connect with others. I started writing and recording music when
I was in NY. I just wrote and wrote and wrote. And those writings turned into
melodies and songs. I can’t wait to release them.
We saw on Instagram you have a new EP dropping
this month. Very exciting. What is the title and tell us what we can
expect!
Indeed! May EP is dropping very soon! Not this month but very
soon 🙂
The title of the EP is called “Behind The Symmetry of Madness”
You can expect a real story. You can expect to hear inside my
mind.
You also have a new single called Hymn. This song seems very
personal to you. Can you tell us more about it?
Oh yes! HYMN is so special. It is personal because it’s
coming from a raw place. I know people will feel me with this one. Here’s something
else I’ll tell ya. This song isn’t to be taken lightly. It is one you blast as
loud as you can in those headphones or speakers of yours! Your car. Wherever.
When you wrote Hymn, did it come out quickly all at once or
was it a process?
It didn’t take me long to write the lyrics to HYMN. It kind
of all just came out. I just knew what I wanted to talk about.
What makes some songs more personal for you and other ones
not so much?
It depends on the song. But I would say if we are talking
about something being more personal for me….it would be lyrics. When I connect
to a songs lyrics, when their truth is my truth – that’s deep.
We love your style – tell us how you describe your style? Has
it changed over the years?
Oh gosh. I really have no idea. I tend to wear a lot of black
and white. Like always. It has absolutely changed. It changes all the time. As
I do.
