Harvey Brownstone conducts an in-depth Interview with the Legendary Pat Boone.

Pat Boone is a legendary and beloved member of Hollywood royalty who’s been entertaining the world since he became a superstar teen idol in the 50’s.

In a stratospheric career spanning over 7 decades, he’s recorded over 2600 songs and had 38 Top 40 hits, spending 220 consecutive weeks with at least one song on the Top 40 charts, and selling close to 50 million records worldwide, earning 6 Grammy nominations.

According to Billboard magazine, Pat Boone currently ranks at number 10 on its list of the top recording artists of all time, and he holds the world record for being the recording artist with the longest career on the music charts – over 70 years! He’s starred in 29 Hollywood movies, including “April Love”, “State Fair”, “Journey to the Center of the Earth”, “All Hands on Deck” and many more.

Throughout his career he has hosted a number of popular TV shows. In fact, in 1957 he became the youngest person in history to have his own weekly musical variety show, “The Pat Boone Chevy Showroom”. He’s also a #1 best selling author who’s written a staggering 28 autobiographical and motivational books.

Pat Boone currently stars in 2 nationally syndicated radio shows, “The Pat Boone Hour” on SiriusXM’s ‘50s Gold channel 72, as well as a contemporary gospel music show that airs on a number of radio stations across America. He has been inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame. And he is one of only a handful of iconic celebrities to have THREE stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame: one for being a Recording artist, one for making Motion Pictures, and one for starring on Television.

And if all of that weren’t enough, Pat Boone is a renowned humanitarian. He’s been National Spokesperson for the March of Dimes, the National Association of the Blind, and as Entertainment Chairman for the National Easter Seals telethon for 18 years, he helped raise over $600 million for the disabled. His own Cambodian relief organization formed in 1979, “Save The Refugee Fund,” which became “Mercy Core”, currently operates in 40 countries and so far, they have delivered over 1.3 billion dollars worth of food and supplies to the needy. He also created “Pat Boone World Missions”, which provides vitally needed resources and assistance in Africa.

Harvey Brownstone is a retired judge of the Ontario Court of Justice and was the first openly gay judge in Canada. He is also the bestselling author of “Tug of War: A Judge’s Verdict on Separation, Custody Battles and the Bitter Realities of Family Court” and hosted “Family Matters with Justice Harvey Brownstone,” a television talk show on matters involving the family justice system.

After a distinguished legal career, Harvey was appointed a judge at the age of 38 in 1995.  He has presided in family and criminal courts.   He has been a trailblazer in several ways.  He was the first openly gay judge in Canada.  He was the first sitting judge in the world to write a national best seller and to host a TV talk show.

Harvey has been a role model and icon in the LGBTQ community.  When same-sex marriage was legalized in Canada in 2003, he was the only judge to make himself publicly available to officiate at weddings for lesbian and gay couples travelling to Toronto from all over the world to get married.  In 2007, he officiated at the wedding of Edith Windsor and Thea Spyer, the American couple whose marriage triggered the 2013 United States Supreme Court decision overturning the definition of “spouse” in the federal Defense of Marriage Act.

In February 2021, Harvey launched his online talk show “Harvey Brownstone Interviews” on his own YouTube channel. He saw this as an interesting hobby.   Within several months, the show attracted hundreds of thousands – and then eventually, millions – of viewers.  Because of the overwhelming success of the show, Harvey decided to retire from the judiciary on December 31, 2021 after having presided as a full-time judge for 26 1/2 years.  Free from the constraints imposed upon judges regarding the expression of opinions and the endorsement of private enterprise, Harvey now happily devotes his full-time attention to hosting “Harvey Brownstone Interviews” as a regular member of the public – albeit one with a rather illustrious and unique career history.
