The phrase jack of all trades is often a cliché. However, in the case of Shene Commodore, it isn’t a cliche. Balancing competing ambitions to be an attorney and an entertainer hasn’t posed any insurmountable challenge for her. Instead, it has driven her to greater heights than she likely dreamed of and fortified her life with an inexhaustible well of experiences she can draw from. These are irreplaceable attributes for any budding creative person.
The desire to be a performer came first. Commodore tasted rejection in an early grade school theatrical production but, instead of dampening her enthusiasm, it redoubled her efforts to find a place on the stage. She likewise later pursued an education in playing piano, jazz, ballet, and tap dancing, while developing an abiding interest in fashion. Her parents fostered a sense of discovery that has served her well.
Realizing her ambitions in these areas while chasing dreams of being an attorney carried her into interesting worlds. She worked as a government audit intern, and in the United States Department of State. She was able to notch these impressive achievements with nothing more than a bachelor’s degree in marketing and management. There is no question that her tireless work ethic played a significant role. It always will.

It has helped propel her acting career.
