Freeform is turning up the heat this spring with the debut of Grand Cayman: Secrets in Paradise. The sexy docusoap will follow a group of locals and expats navigating relationships, friendships, and careers in the gorgeous Grand Cayman.
The series will explore their lavish lifestyles as they make waves on the island. The cast features familiar faces, including Armie Hammer‘s ex-wife Elizabeth Chambers. Elizabeth lives in Grand Cayman with her two children in the wake of her divorce.
“Grand Cayman has been a sanctuary for me. I moved here with my husband three years ago, but things have changed since then,” Elizabeth says in the trailer, which references her public split from Hammer and his subsequent controversies.
The trailer also addresses the supposed “Cayman Curse.” Cast member Courtney McTaggart claims that “people who move to the island with their significant other, it never lasts.”
There’s definitely drama brewing between Courtney and Elizabeth. Courtney says that Elizabeth thought she was “one of Armie’s chicks,” but Courtney stresses there’s “a lot more to this story.” Color us intrigued!
“Even in paradise, it’s hard to know who you can trust,” Elizabeth says. Grand Cayman is a playground for the rich and famous, so things are bound to get messy.
