Claim to Fame is coming back soon for Season 3 at ABC.
Hosted by Kevin Jonas and Franklin Jonas, Claim to Fame challenges relatives of celebrities to live together under one roof and conceal their identity and lineage in the quest for their own fame and fortune. They will compete in challenges, form strategic partnerships, and play DNA detective in hopes of avoiding elimination, winning the coveted $100,000 prize and step out of their famous family member’s shadow by staking their own “Claim to Fame.”
Here’s everything we know so far about the upcoming season.
Claim to Fame Season 3 Premiere Date
Claim to Fame Season 3 will premiere on Wednesday, July 10 at 9/8c on ABC. The episode will air immediately after the season premiere of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire (8/7c). The Jonas brothers duo will return as hosts for the third season.
Claim to Fame Season 2 ended on Monday, August 28, with Nick Cannon‘s younger brother, Gabriel Cannon, being declared the winner. The season saw a noteworthy ratings increase in Season 2. The first season, which premiered in July 2022, averaged 1.82 million viewers. Season 2 averaged 2.066 million viewers.
The list of famous names attached to Season 2’s contestants also hinted at a greater general interest in the series (relatives of Dolly Parton, President Jimmy Carter, and Tom Hanks were some of the season’s biggest gets). The competition also produced a couple of viral moments as fans reacted to the mysteries unfolding in each episode.
Claim to Fame Season 2 was one of the few shows actually airing new episodes during the summer of 2023 due to the simultaneous writers and actors strikes. Unscripted shows such as this celebrity-focused competition series were able to remain in production as the contracts under which they operate were not part of the strikes.
Claim to Fame Season 3 Cast
No official cast has been announced for Season 3 outside of the hosts. However, Jason Segel’s sister, Ali Segel, tweeted a casting email gauging her interest in applying for the series in October 2023. This implies that Season 3 has potentially already been filmed, given the casting development in the fall and the premiere date that’s just two months away.
In addition to Canon, Season 2 featured the children of Donny Osmond (Chris Osmond), J.B. Smoove (Monay), Neil deGrasse Tyson (Travis), Eddie Murphy (Shayne), and more.
