NBA star Stephen Curry has revealed that he’s still a big supporter of Drake – even after the rapper’s beef with Kendrick Lamar earlier in the year.

Speaking to GQ in a new feature, the Golden State Warriors point guard – who has struck up a friendship with Drake in the past number of years – was asked about his thoughts on the Drake-Lamar feud.

During the feud, Lamar name-dropped the basketball player in ‘Meet The Grahams’, bringing up the accusations against Drake of paedophilia: “Hey, Curry, keep the family away / To anybody that embodies the love for the kids, keep the family away / They lookin’ at you too if you standin’ by him, keep the family away.”

Curry said to GQ: “I’m a big Drake guy. I’ve been for a long time. I think obviously you know what it is for the rap industry to have that, but I still rock with Drake. Absolutely. Absolutely.”

Drake has remained active since his exchange of diss tracks with Kendrick Lamar earlier this year. In a recent interview with People, Drake’s collaborator Gordo commented on the situation and said the rapper remained undeterred by it all. Drake recently appeared on two new songs from Gordo’s new album ‘Diamante’, ‘Sideways’ and ‘Healing’.

Most recently, Drake shared 100 gigabytes worth of data online, which included three new songs. Of the three, ‘It’s Up’ is the most rap-oriented and features Young Thug on the trap track. ‘Housekeeping Knows’ takes on a dancier vibe and features Latto, while ‘Blue Green Red’ is a slower club tune and does not include a feature.

Other materials available on the site are behind-the-scenes clips from music videos, tour rehearsals, studio footage, unused cover art for albums (for ‘For All The Dogs’ and ‘Certified Lover Boy’) and singles and more.

Last month, Drake shared footage of his flooded mansion, following torrential rain hitting Toronto in recent days. News that Drake’s mansion had flooded arrived just days after it was revealed that the rapper had allowed fans to take a virtual tour of the residence thanks to a new feature on his merch website.

Outside of the recent flooding, his home also made headlines earlier this year, when a man was arrested for attempting to break into the building, just a day after a shooting took place outside the residence – which followed his house being on the cover of Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Not Like Us’.
