EA Sports FC 25 soundtrack has been released, and it features Skrillex, Charli XCX, Coldplay, Billie Eilish and more.

The football video game, which will be out on September 27, has a soundtrack of 117 songs from global artists. It also includes several unreleased songs set to drop later this year from the likes of FKA Twigs and Catfish and the Bottlemen.

Some NME-backed rising artists such as Charlotte PlankAntsLive, Blanco, Biig Piig, and Nia Archives have also made the cut on the soundtrack.

Speaking about appearing on the soundtrack, J Balvin said: “It feels incredible to be featured in such an iconic game.

“Having my music be part of the FC 25 soundtrack and sharing this honor with so many other talented global artists is something I’ll never forget. I can’t wait to experience it all when I play.”

In other gaming news, Adidas and Marvel have revealed Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Symbiote-themed shoes as part of a larger collection to celebrate the game’s launch.

Earlier this year EA confirmed it is thinking about putting adverts in AAA games and has spoken about wanting to use AI more in the development process.

During a recent earnings call, EA CEO Andrew Wilson was asked about the chance of more “dynamic ad insertion across more traditional AAA games”, with Wilson explaining that the studio currently has internal teams “looking at how we do very thoughtful implementations inside of our game experiences.” (via PC Gamer).

“As we think about the many, many billions of hours spent, both playing, creating, watching and connecting and where much of that engagement happens to be on the bounds of a traditional game experience, our expectation is that advertising has an opportunity to be a meaningful driver of growth for us,” he added.
