Competitor Ryan Manton continues to reign supreme on Jeopardy! as the three-day champ carried on his winning streak in the October 3rd match against Adam Stewart and Emily Stowell-Bui.

A systems coordinator from Columbus, Ohio, Ryan’s wins have been fairly consistent since his first match, raking in $20,000+ per game on average so far, but he didn’t bring in as much with the latest match, only winning $15,800. Still, it was a runaway game for Ryan who bet no money in the final round which saw Emily disqualified from participating with a negative score of -$400, and Ryan faced the non-threat of Adam’s $2,000.

While Ryan delivered a decent finish, he didn’t start out the strongest with Adam leading in the first round with $5,600 against Ryan’s $5,400 and Emily’s -$800. At the end of Double Jeopardy!, Ryan had secured his lead with the help of Adam’s losses with Daily Doubles in the second round of the competition.

Both Ryan and Adam provided the correct response for the Final Jeopardy! category, “19th Century Games,” which read, “Shrunken auditory nerves were seen in his autopsy after his 1827 death in Vienna.” The accurate answer was “Who was Ludwig van Beethoven?” Ultimately, Ryan walked away with a four-day total of $83,179.

Can he keep it up long enough to earn that five-game streak into the Tournament of Champions? Ryan is just the latest competitor from the new season to deliver a strong and long-running game. Only time will tell for certain though. In the meantime, as we wait for the results, weigh in on the possibility of Ryan’s Tournament of Champions chances in the comments section, below, and don’t miss his latest game on Friday, October 4th.
