Kneecap have announced the vinyl and CD release of their self-titled biopic soundtrack, which will feature Fontaines D.C., Bicep, and more.

The Belfast rap trio will release the soundtrack from the Oscar-longlisted film on a double LP with gatefold sleeve and green/orange coloured vinyl. It will also be available on CD.

‘Kneecap (Original Soundtrack)’ will feature singles from the band themselves, alongside tracks from Belfast electronic duo Bicep, Dublin post-punkers Fontaines D.C. and British dance legends Orbital. The soundtrack also includes the film’s incidental music composed by Michael ‘Mikey J’ Asante MBE, along with snippets of the film’s dialogue.

NME hailed the film in a five-star review, writing: “Unapologetically ballsy and brave, Kneecap has no business being as good as it is – not only one of the standout films of 2024, but arguably one of the best music biopics of all time.

“So, with much thought and time to percolate, here’s your full analysis: Holy shit, fuck me, what a film.” See the full tracklisting for the soundtrack below:

The former NME Cover stars released their debut album this year, with NME rating it five stars: “In the dark of the night out, the moment is all that matters and the rave will set you free. To shout that in a ‘dying’ language on a record that couldn’t sound any more alive? That’s power – and Kneecap have it.”

Kneecap spoke about their roaring success in our NME Cover, with Móglaí Bap telling us: “If success is a means of getting the Irish language to new places, then that’s something we have to take on. For any language to survive, it has to be alive in the music.”

The band also recently announced details of a huge 2025 performance, which is set to be their “biggest live show” to date. They will also headline 2000Trees and Wide Awake Festival next year along with a slew of live dates – see below for a full list of Kneecap’s upcoming shows:
