Jason Kelce’s new Christmas song has surpassed Mariah Carey’s cult hit, “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” this holiday season. The latter’s Christmas melody, which came out on October 29, 2024, has been one of those songs that has garnered immense popularity among fans. Despite being 30 years old, Carey’s song is used to topping the charts every holiday season. However, this time, Kelce has entered the ring and surprised fans with his musical talent.

Here is everything fans need to know about the former NFL star beating Mariah Carey on the music charts.

Jason Kelce’s new song dethroned Mariah Carey’s Christmas anthem

Travis Kelce congratulated the Former Philadelphia Eagles center on their podcast, New Heights, for beating Mariah Carey with his latest Christmas song.

Recently, Jason collaborated with Stevie Nicks for a cover of “Maybe This Christmas,” which gained immense popularity among their fans. While lauding Carey’s song, Travis stated how “Maybe This Christmas” has acquired the top spot on the Top Christmas Songs Chart 2024 on iTunes.

Moreover, Travis Kelce asserted that his brother has earned a new nickname, “Queen of Christmas.” Jason expressed his feelings on this achievement in their New Heights podcast’s latest episode. He told Travis, “You know, I’ve fought my whole life to be the queen of Christmas and the fact that we’re finally there … it’s just really special.”

Jason Kelce addressed the fact that Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You” has been the top song on the holiday song charts for years now. Thus, he was skeptical if his song would hold onto the position for long. “I know we caught it in early November, we’ll see if it holds up throughout the rest of Christmas. We kind of caught it on the Christmas downslide, not too many people are listening to Christmas music so we jumped up in there.”

The ex-Eagles center also praised Stevie Nicks for the song and expressed that he enjoyed working with him.
