‘Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test’ Season 3: Cast, Premiere Date, Trailer
TV

The Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test Season 3 cast has been revealed. Actors Stephen Baldwin and Denise Richards, former Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton, original Bachelorette Trista Sutter, Disney Channel alums Christy Carlson Romano and Kyla Pratt (aka the voices of Kim Possible and Penny Proud, respectively), Brody Jenner, P!nk’s husband, motorcross champ Carey Hart, and more stars are all taking on the FOX reality competition series.

Along with the cast announcement and photos is a trailer for the season (see above), premiering Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at 8/7c on FOX. Season 3 will be a five-week event featuring “two-hour super charged episodes,” the network reveals. Each week, the show “will feature household names enduring some of the harshest, most grueling challenges from the playbook of the actual Special Forces selection process,” FOX says.

Special Forces invites celebrities to undergo elite military training to see if they can withstand the grueling conditions. There is no voting out in this series. The only way for these recruits to leave is to give up on their own accord, through failure or potential injury, or by force from the Directing Staff (DS). “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test is the ultimate test of physical, mental and emotional resilience – revealing these celebrities’ deepest and truest character,” the description says. “Who will survive, who will fail?”

Here’s the full Special Forces Season 3 cast list: Nathan Adrian, Stephen Baldwin, Alana Blanchard, Landon Donovan, Carey Hart, Brody Jenner, Marion Jones, Ali Manno, Cam Newton, Kayla Nicole, Kyla Pratt, Denise Richards, Christy Carlson Romano, Trista Sutter, Golden Tate, and Jordyn Wieber. The cast list confirms previous suspicions that former Bachelorette stars Manno (née Fedotowsky) and Sutter were absent from social media earlier this year because they were filming this competition series.

Season 3 will be set in Wales, the home of British Special Forces Selection. The 16 celebrity recruits “will endure the harsh reality of ocean warfare,” according to the season synopsis. “The recruits must learn the art of getting comfortable with being uncomfortable as they are faced with training challenges across the country’s vast terrain of both land and sea, including a high-pressure hostage rescue, a treacherous ladder crossing between steep cliffs nearly 100 ft above the sea, a boat dunk drill where they will be submerged into the frigid ocean and tasked with performing essential survival duties, a surf immersion where they will have to control their panic in an exercise that takes them to the brink of drowning, and much more. In this experiment, there are no votes and no eliminations — just survival. These celebrities, who are so used to being in the spotlight, will quickly learn the meaning of ‘no guts, no glory’ – and no glam.”

The DS agents for Season 3 are Rudy Reyes, Mark “Billy” Billingham, Jason “Foxy” Fox, and Jovon “Q” Quarles, an elite team of ex-special forces operatives.
