DCU’s Creature Commandos sees the eponymous team fight a villain named Circe. As such, many fans are wondering who this villain is. They also wish to learn about Circe’s powers and her origins in the DC Universe.

Here is everything you need to know about Creature Commandos’ Circe, her role in DC Comics, and the voice actress behind her in the show.

Who is DC’s Circe and who plays her in Creature Commandos?

Circe is a DC Comics villain based on the Greek mythology figure of the same name, who imprisons Odysseus in Homer’s Odyssey. She was originally created as an adversary of Wonder Woman but has since gone on to fight other DC heroes like Superman.

In Creature Commandos, Circe is voiced by Anya Chalotra, whom fans will instantly recognize as Yennefer of Vengerberg from Netflix’s The Witcher series.

Circe first appears in the series’ premiere episode, serving as the catalyst for the Creature Commandos’ formation. In the episode, she is a rogue Amazonian sorceress who plots the invasion of Pokolistan. She sends the militia group Sons of Themyscira to invade the country, promising to lead them in conquering Themyscira. Amanda Waller, unable to allow this as the US is allied with Pokolistan, sends the Creature Commandos after her.

What are Circe’s powers in Creature Commandos?

In Creature Commandos, Circe’s powers include telepathy, telekinesis, mind control, and an ability to make people see the future.

She possesses these same abilities in DC Comics in addition to:

  • geokinesis (earth-manipulation)
  • chronokinesis (time control)
  • portal creation
  • possession
  • transformation of people into animals
  • shape-shifting
  • teleportation
  • transformation

Her appearance has drastically changed throughout her depiction in comics. She originally had blonde hair and red robes, but they were changed to green hair and a white gown. Circe later had black hair and a pink gown. Modern depictions of the character saw her have either red or purple hair. She had purple hair and a green gown or bodysuit for her TV appearances in Justice League Unlimited and Justice League Action.

However, in Creature Commandos, she sports dark pink hair and a bodysuit reminiscent of Teen Titans’ Starfire.
