Reports claim that Taylor Swift generously distributed a whopping $197 million in bonuses to her crew members who played a vital role in the success of the Eras Tour.
According to People, the bonus included various team members, such as truck drivers, merch teams, the lighting, sound, and production departments, carpenters, dancers, security, instrument technicians, choreographers, pyrotechnics, riggers, hair and make-up department, wardrobe, videographers, and the physical therapy team.
Back in August 2023, she handed $55 million in bonuses to her crew. This was after she concluded the North American leg of her tour.
Swift’s Eras Tour concluded on Sunday, December 8, 2024, in Vancouver, Canada at the BC Place Stadium. Before she performed Karma, the final track of her setlist, Swift took a moment to thank the audience. “I want to thank every single one of you for being a part of the most thrilling chapter of my entire life to date — my beloved Eras Tour,” she said.
According to the New York Times, Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, which was attended by 10 million people, generated $2 billion in ticket sales. This was double the money made from gross ticket sales from other concert tours. Thus, the Eras Tour became “the bestselling tour of all time.” The outlet learned of this amount directly from Swift’s production company Taylor Swift Touring.
Swift ends 2024 with other successful highlights. Her The Eras Tour Book sold 814,000 copies within the first two days of launch. She also became the most-streamed artist on Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music.
