All She Wrote Books, a queer and feminist bookstore in Sommerville, Massachusetts, is opening itself up for weddings.

The store offers three wedding tiers ranging from $350 – $900, which include services like sound system access, photographers, and even book concierges. Their website also says they’ll help coordinate the event. The first wedding will take place in January 2025.

“We felt like royalty,” the couple says.

“We’re definitely getting inquiries, which is great,” owner Christina Pascucci-Ciampa told Boston 25 News.

Pascucci-Ciampa began considering the idea in 2022 after a couple got engaged at their store. Since then, the store has had a form up on its website where people can ask about using the space to celebrate milestones.

While the presidential election results played a role in her decision to make the store a wedding venue, she said it’s so much more than that.

“Finding community right now is going to be really crucial, and I think that’s where we come in, and that’s where our focus is… about making sure the community feels seen and heard.”

The goal of the store, after all, is to build community through inclusive stories and to create a space where queer people can strengthen connections with one another.
