Gwyneth Paltrow has shared her skepticism over the data on her Spotify Wrapped playlist for 2024.

The 2024 edition of Spotify Wrapped arrived earlier this month and, as ever, allowed users to reflect on their listening habits from the past 12 months in its ‘Celebration Of Your Year’ experience.

But during a question and answer session with her lifestyle brand Goop, via Yahoo News, the actor insisted that her playlist didn’t add up.

She said: “My data was not accurate. I listened to João Gilberto, like at dinner parties, but it has him as my number one artist, and that’s impossible because I had it on a couple times but not enough to warrant that spot.”

NME has contacted Spotify for a comment on the data.

It comes after questions were raised earlier this year after Spotify appeared to be disproportionately playing music by Sabrina Carpenter via the autoplay function.

Elsewhere, New Jersey politician Josh Gottheimer was recently found to have shared a fake Spotify Wrapped in a bid to champion Bruce Springsteen.

Upon the results being shared, some viewers were quick to notice slight discrepancies between the politician’s results and the Wrapped results shared online by other Spotify users.

In the screenshot Gottheimer shared on X/Twitter, there seemed to be a slightly different font choice for the song titles, and the spacing between the letters seemed slightly askew – leading to it being deemed a fake.

After outlets like the New Jersey Monitor weighed in and asked him for comment, Gottheimer went on to reveal he had doctored the results to avoid including his children’s choice in music in the list.

Arctic Monkeys and Oasis were among the UK’s top indie bands on Spotify Wrapped 2024, along with The Smiths, Radiohead and Gorillaz.

Taylor Swift came in at Number One on both the UK and global Top Artists run-down. Both versions also featured the likes of The Weeknd, Billie Eilish and Drake, with Ariana Grande and Bad Bunny being among the biggest acts around the world.

The likes of Eilish, Usher and Carpenter also joined thousands of names in recording video messages to thank fans who had them as their top acts on Wrapped 2024.
