Shaquille O’Neal has covered Three Days Grace on guitar, although the basketball legend made the instrument look more like a ukulele.

In a viral video, Shaq played the chords to the Canadian band’s 2007 single ‘Never Too Late’, from their second album ‘One-X’, during a down moment during an episode of his show Inside The NBA.

The 7-foot-1 O’Neal plays a regular-sized acoustic guitar in the clip, but in his hands, it appears tiny. “Yes I can do it all,” Shaq wrote on Instagram alongside the video, also tagging in the band. Watch here:

‘Never Too Late’ topped the Mainstream Rock Charts in 2007 and is certified double platinum in the US.

The four-time NBA champion also has had a successful music career, recording four rap albums in the ‘90s. His 1993 debut ‘Shaq Diesel’ was the first platinum-selling record from an NBA player, while 1996’s ‘You Can’t Stop The Reign’ featured a verse from The Notorious B.I.G. on its title track.

Shaq also contributed a verse to ‘2 Bad’, a track from Michael Jackson’s ‘HIStory: Past Present And Future, Book I’ in 1995, while Jay-Z guested on ‘No Love Lost’ from Shaq’s fourth studio album ‘Respect’ in 1998.

In recent years, he has reinvented himself as a DJ under the moniker Diesel, performing at maor festivals such as Tomorrowland and Lollapalooza. He has been DJing in some form since the ‘80s, starting out when he was a student at Louisiana State University.

In 2021, he joined Snoop Dogg on stage to fill in for Dr. Dre’s verse on ’Nuthin’ But A ‘G’ Thang’.

Last year, through a re-release of ‘You Can’t Stop The Reign’, a scrapped collaboration between Jay-Z and Nas emerged on streaming services for the first time, having been held off previous official releases due to a clearance issue.
