Though Netflix’s new Little House on the Prairie adaptation will arrive some time in the coming year, for many fans, there will only ever be one Little House show, and one Ingalls family — the one who appeared on our TV screens from 1974 to 1983. Over 40 years after the final episode of the original Little House on the Prairie, the show’s stars have moved on to new projects and life phases, writing books, tackling live theater, creating new TV characters — and, in Melissa Gilbert’s case, nearly winning it all on Dancing With the Stars. But to us, some part of them will always remain in Walnut Grove.
