Charlie Green (Jack Rowan), Pip’s seemingly friendly neighbor, was actually the brother of one of Child Brunswick’s victims, and followed Pip to get revenge on the man who helped murder his baby sister. Charlie shoots Stanley in front of Pip, causing PTSD in the teen.
To make matters worse, because Jamie could not testify at the trial, Max Hastings escapes punishment by the legal system, much to the dismay of his victims and Pip, and is now a free man.
However, Jamie is freed from his imprisonment and reunited with his family. So, there is some happy news.
At the end of Season 2, Pip appears severely traumatized and questions whether justice actually exists at all. It will take next season to resolve these loose ends.
