Crew members aboard a recent easyJet international flight had to restrain a drunk British male passenger after he allegedly tried to forcibly kiss another man on the lips. A video of the incident shows him angrily swearing at the stewards and threatening to punch them while they held him down.
The incident occurred during a February 6 morning flight from Glasgow, Scotland to Lisbon, Portugal. During the flight, a fellow passenger who recorded the incident said that the “very intoxicated” was “being rude to anyone who looked his way, then demanding they shake his hand.”

The man then allegedly tried to shake the hand of the man sitting directly behind him. When that man ignored him, the drunk passenger allegedly leaned over his seat to try and kiss him on the lips. The man pushed the drunkard away, and the drunkard allegedly got so angry that he began shouting at everyone and throwing punches, the person who recorded the incident told The Daily Mail.

The drunk man had to be restrained by the flight stewards for 35 minutes before the plane landed. When the flight finally landed, Portuguese police came on board to take him awa. But even then, the drunk man allegedly tried “to wrestle with them” the witness said.
In a video of the incident, the restrained man told the flight attendants restraining him, “I will kill you, you f**king c**ts.” The video is viewable at the aforementioned publication.
In a statement, easyJet, the second largest low-cost airliner in Europe, wrote, “Our cabin crew are trained to assess and evaluate all situations and to act quickly and appropriately to ensure that the safety of the flight and other passengers is not compromised at any time.”
“Whilst such incidents are rare we take them very seriously and do not tolerate abusive or threatening behaviour towards our crew or other passengers,” the airline added. “The safety and wellbeing of our customers and crew is our highest priority.”
Of course, this isn’t the first time that an airline passenger has been punished for behaving inappropriately on a plane.
In September 2022, a passenger got booted from an American Airlines flight after shouting racist, homophobic slurs that were recorded in a viral video. In that incident, an angry white drunken male passenger was allegedly “inappropriate towards the woman in the seat next to him,” according to a passenger who recorded the man’s slurs.
The drunken passenger shouted at passengers, “I hope all you liberal fa***ts f**kin’ crash the fk**in’ plane, you fa***ts,” as he was escorted off the plane.
In a July 2021 video, passengers cheered as a woman making anti-gay remarks got dragged off plane. She used the slur “fa***ts” several time until a male passenger yelled, “Get off the plane. No one wants to listen to your bigotry! Get off the plane!”
In May 2020, a drunken passenger who squeezed a flight attendant’s butt and called him “gay boy” got sent to prison.
