A new poster for Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire previews the upcoming IMAX release of the MonsterVerse movie.

Shared on Twitter by the official IMAX account, the Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire poster features a new look of the two titular Titans. “Detail of titanic proportions. Experience #GodzillaXKong in IMAX’s exclusive Expanded Aspect Ratio March 29. #FilmedForIMAX,” the caption reads.

What is Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire about?

“The epic battle continues! Legendary Pictures’ cinematic Monsterverse follows up the explosive showdown of Godzilla vs. Kong with an all-new adventure that pits the almighty Kong and the fearsome Godzilla against a colossal undiscovered threat hidden within our world, challenging their very existence—and our own,” the official synopsis reads. “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire delves further into the histories of these Titans and their origins, as well as the mysteries of Skull Island and beyond, while uncovering the mythic battle that helped forge these extraordinary beings and tied them to humankind forever.”

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire is directed by Adam Wingard, who also directed 2021’s Godzilla vs. Kong. The movie stars Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, Dan Stevens, Kaylee Hottle, Alex Ferns, and Fala Chen.

Terry Rossio, Simon Barrett, and Jeremy Slater wrote the script for Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. Mary Parent, Alex Garcia, Eric Mcleod, Thomas Tull, and Brian Rogers produced the film, while  Wingard, Jen Conroy, Jay Ashenfelter, Yoshimitsu Banno, and Kenji Okuhire served as executive producers.

Previously scheduled for April 2024, Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire now releases in United States theaters and IMAX on March 29, 2024 from Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures. It then releases internationally on March 27, 2024.

Godzilla vs. Kong, meanwhile, is currently streaming on Max.
