JioCinema’s Pill delivers a strong social message. It reveals how an honest individual can help society and save millions of lives. It is directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, Jaideep Yadav, and Mahim Joshie and also stars Noor Khan, Akshat Chauhan, Pawan Malhotra, and Anshul Chauhan.

As viewers enjoy Pill, an explanation of its ending with spoilers is below.

Who is Dr Prakash Chauhan?

Pill begins with a glimpse of how corruption in the medical sector and pharmaceutical companies flows through different layers. The company that has been playing with innocent lives is Forever Cure Pharma. Led by Brahma Gill and his trustworthy subordinates, it is the biggest pharma company in the country. However, its employee, Ashish Khanna is against its malpractices.

Pill’s lead character is Dr Prakash Chauhan, played by Riteish Deshmukh. While Chauhan leads a simple life with his wife and kid, he is transferred to MAI with a promotion. Another crucial character in the web series is Gursimrit Kaur, a medicine inspector at the Medicine Authority of India (MAI). Kaur is an honest employee who does not shies away from speaking her heart out against the wrong. During one of her inspections at a branch of Forever Cure Pharma, she almost comes across a mystery file that has a dark secret of the company.

The show proceeds and introduces Noor Khan, a dedicated journalist who finds the file in the dumping yard. He soon realizes that it is about the antibiotic that his late mother was consuming. To find the truth behind Forever Cure Pharma’s practices, Noor’s investigation leads to his meeting with Dr Prakash and Gursimrit. Ashish also finds Noor and indirectly joins the team.

As JioCinema’s Pill continues, viewers learn that Forever Cure Pharma has been holding fake clinical trials. These trials have led to the deaths of many unaware volunteers, while others are left to lead a struggle-filled life. With a politician on their side, they whitewash their image by hook or by crook. With time, Dr Prakash also learns that his superiors are all corrupt and decides to work on his own terms.

Does Dr Prakash Chauhan win case against

As Dr Prakash and his trustworthy team find enough evidence and victims to prove Forever Cure Pharma’s true face, the pharmaceutical giant manages to escape the situation. At one point, the entire team loses hope but Dr Prakash comes up with a new plan.

He spends a fortune to establish a lab only for the company’s goons to destroy it. He then uses the footage to file a case against the company. However, Gill plays a masterstroke and bribes all victims and witnesses against Dr Prakash. Moreover, he puts Ashish on house arrest and does not let him step out.

In the end, Ashish risks his life to support Dr Prakash. When he gets brutally beaten up, his wife helps them find proof of all medical trials. When proven guilty, the Supreme Court of India stops the launch of Forever Cure Pharma’s new cancer pill. Moreover, the judge asks the company to retrieve all its medicines from the market with immediate effect.

Pill showcases how truth always prevails and it requires a strong will to bring down a huge but corrupt empire. The series is currently streaming on JioCinema.
