Netflix has shared the official Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft trailer for the upcoming animated TV adaptation of Square Enix’s hit video game franchise. The series will be available for streaming on October 10, 2024.

The video continues to tease the titular character’s action-packed adventures as she faces the truth about her past. The trailer features Lara Croft determined to search for a mysterious item with a personal connection to her past. The series will take place after the successful Tomb Raider video game trilogy.
Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft will feature the voices of Hayley Atwell as Lara Croft and Allen Maldonado as Zip, with Earl Baylon reprising his role as Jonah from the Tomb Raider video games. It is written and executive produced by showrunner Tasha Huo (The Witcher: Blood Origin, Red Sonja). Executive producers are Dmitri M. Johnson, Timothy I. Stevenson, Jacob Robinson, Dallas Dickinson, Noah Hughes, Howard Bliss, Jen Chambers, and Brad Graeber. The series is animated by Powerhouse Animation, with Legendary Television producing.
“Following the events of the Survivor series, Lara Croft has abandoned her friends to embark on increasingly more perilous solo adventures,” reads the synopsis. “But she must return home when a dangerous and powerful Chinese artifact is stolen from Croft Manor by a thief with an uncanny personal connection. Her daring pursuit will take her on an adventure around the world and to the depths of forgotten tombs, where she will be forced to confront her true self, and decide just what kind of hero she wants to become.”
