What happens in the Outer Banks Season 4 trailer?

The trailer picks up with a quick catch-up of the fact that the main characters have struck gold, quickly moving through the chaos that follows. From there, the group known as The Pogues enjoy some downtime. But as Pope says, payments are due. Pressures mount, and the good vibes don’t last. “We are so screwed,” John B declares.

Because of their dire circumstances, the group goes looking for Blackbeard’s treasure. But they’re aware of the risks and question whether it is even possible to successfully complete the hunt. It’s not long before the dangers make themselves clear, whether that’s strangers with knives or trouble with law enforcement. The group soon comes to a familiar realization: it’s them against everyone else.

Along with the established returning cast, the Outer Banks Season 4 cast includes Drew Starkey (Rafe), Austin North (Topper), and Fiona Palomo (Sofia). New additions to the ensemble are J. Anthony Crane (Chandler Groff), Pollyanna McIntosh (Dalia), Brianna Brown (Hollis Robinson), Rigo Sanchez (Lightner), and Mia Challis (Ruthie).

Outer Banks was created and executive produced by Jonas Pate, Josh Pate, and Shannon Burke. The trailer comes as Netflix also announced an Outer Banks video game, which will launch on October 29.

The mobile game takes players back to the beginning of the series, per the official description: “Join the Pogues back at the beginning of their quest to find long-lost treasure in ’Netflix Stories: Outer Banks,’ an all-new interactive mobile game launching October 29, right before Part 2 of the hit series debuts. When you learn your estranged father has gone missing, you buy a one-way ticket to the Outer Banks to find the half-brother you’ve never met. Step into the world of ‘Outer Banks’ and make choices that impact your story. Will you risk it all to find treasure? Will you find your father? Will your love withstand the danger? There’s only one way to find out. Find this story and more in Netflix Stories, an ever-growing catalog of interactive fiction games based on hit Netflix shows.”
