Neo-Nazis crashed a boat rally for GOP candidate Donald Trump in Jupiter, Florida, this past Sunday, flying swastika flags while shouting racial slurs. And one of the neo-Nazis was spotted wearing a “Moms for Liberty” shirt, showing a possible connection to the anti-LGBTQ+ extremist group.
“What the f**k are we even doing?” Trump’s lesbian niece, Mary Trump, summarized on X.

The aquatic rally featured the “Trump Armada,” where people with “literal boatloads of disposable income” showed their support for Trump with MAGA flags and other Trump-Vance campaign signs, according to Rolling Stone. Eric and Lara Trump – Donald Trump’s son and daughter-in-law – participated in the rally.
Also present was a Telegram user who goes by “Coach 88″ –”88” is a Nazi symbol, referring to “Heil Hitler” since “H” is the eighth letter of the alphabet – who posted a video captioned “National Socialist crash Trump boat parade” to social media. The Nazi Party is also referred to as “National Socialists.” The video was then promoted by the Goyim Defense League, a rightwing antisemitic group active in Florida.
“Look at those beautiful swastikas!” someone can be heard saying in the video, which showed Nazi flags and Trump flags flying from the back of their boat. A man with a swastika t-shirt and a red “Make America Great Again” cap can be seen while the other people on the boat wear masks.
“Here we go, white power! Heil Trump! Make America white again!” the man shouted. “Down here in Jupiter, lovin’ it, lovin’ the good weather.”
An image captured by Meidas Touch shows one person in a cap and a skull mask wearing a “Moms for Liberty” shirt while on the boat.
The Trump campaign has used Nazi ideas and rhetoric throughout the 2024 campaign. Recently, it has been stirring up hatred of Haitian immigrants and U.S. citizens of Haitian descent in Ohio, with Donald Trump himself and his running mate, Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH), claiming that they were stealing and eating their neighbors’ pets.
Trump drew attention early in the campaign when he said that immigrants are “poisoning the blood of our country,” words that Democrats said were similar to those used by Adolf Hitler.
Even as recently as last week, Trump was compared to Hitler for his invocation of an old law to justify mass detainments and deportations of millions of immigrants. Trump has been promising supporters that he will implement the “largest deportation” in U.S. history if he wins, which would involve invoking wartime powers and using the military.
Moms for Liberty has been labeled an extremist organization by the Southern Poverty Law Center, a designation that the group claims is unjustified. The group got attention during the pandemic for its calls to end any support for LGBTQ+ students in schools and to ban books, with a heavy focus on those by LGBTQ+ authors or with LGBTQ+ themes.
Moms for Liberty has been at the forefront of the fight against trans equality in schools, leading a major lawsuit to end Department of Education guidance that bans discrimination against trans students.
In August, Trump attended a Moms for Liberty event where he claimed that schools were turning kids transgender and even said that students would go to school cisgender and then come home “a few days later with an operation.” This is not happening anywhere. Minors almost never have access to gender-affirming surgery, such surgery is not performed on minors without their parents’ involvement, and schools don’t provide medical care to minors without parental consent.
Despite this being a lie, Moms for Liberty co-founder Tiffany Justice claimed that Trump was “right” to tell that lie because she claimed that schools are “the ON-RAMP for gender transitioning of minor children.”
The organization held panel discussions at the Republican National Convention this summer.
