Happy New Music Friday! The weekend is here, which means more streaming, new playlists, and the best that music has to offer — and ET has you covered for everything in between.

The 2025 Grammy Awards nominations are out today. Beyoncé leads with 11 nominations, Charli xcx, Billie Eilish, Kendrick Lamar, Post Malone have 7 nominations each, Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan and Taylor Swift have 6 nominations each. Record of the Year nominees include The Beatles, Beyoncé, Sabrina Carpenter, Charli xcx, Billie Eilish, Kendrick Lamar, Chappell Roan, Taylor Swift featuring Post Malone. Album of the Year nominees include André 3000, Beyoncé, Sabrina Carpenter, Charli xcx, Jacob Collier, Billie Eilish, Chappell Roan and Taylor Swift. Best New Artist nominees are Benson Boone, Sabrina Carpenter, Doechii, Khruangbin, RAYE, Chappell Roan, Shaboozey and Teddy Swims. “Music’s Biggest Night” will air February 2, 2025 on CBS. CMA has announced the first performers for The 58th Annual CMA Awards airing November 20 on ABC. Co-host Luke Bryan will perform his hit “Love You, Miss You, Mean It” and Lainey Wilson who is hosting for the first time will perform “4x4xU.” Post Malone will perform “Yours,” a song inspired by his daughter, Shaboozey will perform a medley of his hits, Dierks Bentley will perform Tom Petty’s classic “American Girl” with Molly Tuttle, Sierra Hull and Bronwyn Keith-Hynes, and Ashley McBryde will also take the stage. Post Malone and Chris Stapleton will come together to perform “California Sober” and performing together for the first time, Thomas Rhett and Teddy Swims will do a mash up of their hits.

Legacy Recordings in partnership with The Estate of Whitney E. Houston and Primary Wave Music have released Whitney Houston’s new studio single, “Love Is,” from her first-ever live concert album, Whitney Houston: The Concert for a New South African (Durban), in celebration of the 30th anniversary of her historical visit to South Africa.

Kevin Jonas Sr. aka Papa Jonas has released his debut Christmas EP, Ready Set Glow – A Holiday Collection. Kevin’s wife, Denise Jonas, lends her vocals to select tracks including a heartfelt duet titled “Ready Set Glow.” The EP also features a co-write with Nick Jonas, which he wrote when was 9 years old. Kevin shared “Thirty five years ago, I promised my wife Denise that I would record and release a Christmas record, and now it’s finally coming to life.”

Last weekend, Nelly celebrated a milestone with his 50th birthday and Ashanti threw a special party for him at TAO in Las Vegas. ET sat down with the couple where Ashanti gushed about Nelly stating that “it’s priceless honestly you know, just to have my soulmate, like my person, my best friend, my protector. You know it’s an amazing feeling. I think just the universe doesn’t make mistakes.” Nelly shared that Ashanti is “a great person, she’s a great mother” and is very thankful for his friends, family, and wife.
