A CNN host was audibly stunned by Donald Trump’s latest strange comments about “young, handsome men,” so much so that her exasperated one-word comment was picked up by a hot mic and then shared online.

CNN was showing live coverage of the first meeting of Trump’s Board of Peace (BoP), which has the stated purpose of peacekeeping worldwide and will oversee processes associated with the Gaza peace plan.

Trump was introducing the leaders of several nations when he got to Paraguayan President Santiago Peña. Trump was apparently so impressed with Peña’s good looks that he started rambling about it.

“President, thank you very much, young handsome guy,” Trump told Peña. “It’s always nice to be young and handsome.”

“It doesn’t mean we have to like you. I don’t like young, handsome men. Women, I like. Men, I don’t have any interest.”

A CNN host could be heard saying: “What?” While the host’s identity is not known, Mediaite believes it was likely CNN anchor Sara Sidner.

Another CNN anchor, John Berman, started talking over Trump and discussing the purpose of the meeting, glossing over the weirdness of the moment.

Peña is 47 years old. The picture below is from 2023.
