A former employee is suing Megan Thee Stallion, claiming conduct by the out rapper “created a hostile work environment.”
In the lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles last week, Emilio Garcia claims that the “WAP” rapper’s behavior made “the conditions of his employment intolerable in direct contravention of various statutes and state law decisions.”

Pitchfork reports that Garcia worked as a personal cameraman for Megan from around July 2018 until last June when he was told that “his services would no longer be required.”
He claims in his lawsuit that the rapper violated the Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA) beginning in June 2022. While on tour with Megan in Ibiza, Garcia claims the rapper had sex with another woman in an SUV in front of him and two other women. Garcia claims that he “could not get out of the car as it was both moving and he was in the middle of nowhere in a foreign country,” and that the situation left him “embarrassed, mortified and offended.”
“I felt uncomfortable,” Garcia recently told NBC News. “I was kind of frozen, and I was shocked. At kind of just the overall audacity to do this right, right beside me.”
Garcia further claims that Megan warned him never to discuss what he’d witnessed, making “fat-shaming comments” to him in the process. According to Page Six, Garcia alleges that Megan and her management company, Roc Nation, also cut his pay from a $4,000 monthly rate to a “pay-per-task” arrangement following the Ibiza trip.
Garcia “noticed a change in how he was treated and saw a decrease in the number of bookings he received” from the rapper following the incident, according to the lawsuit.
Additionally, Garcia claims that Megan and Roc Nation failed to compensate him properly for his work, denying him overtime pay and adequate meal and rest breaks.
Garcia’s attorney told Page Six that his June 2023 termination was “direct retaliation for his complaints about the ongoing illegal behavior and failure to pay him properly.”
“Megan just needs to pay our client what he’s due, own up to her behavior and quit this sort of sexual harassment and fat shaming conduct,” Garcia’s attorney said in a statement to Pitchfork. “Emilio should never have been put in a position of having to be in the vehicle with her while she had sex with another woman. ‘Inappropriate’ is putting it lightly. Exposing this behavior to employees is definitely illegal.”
Meanwhile, Megan’s lawyer, Alex Spiro, hit back at Garcia, describing the former employee’s lawsuit to Page Six as “an employment claim for money—with no sexual harassment claim filed and with salacious accusations to attempt to embarrass her.”
