Man says lesbians are "an elevated form of the human race" after going to dinner at neighbors' house

A TikTok influencer has delighted the internet with a video describing why he believes “lesbians are an elevated form of the human race.”

Steve Watson, who goes by That Steve Guy on social media, detailed a night at his lesbian neighbors’ house after they invited him and his wife over for chicken wings.

“Now, if I invite you to my house for chicken wings, when you get there, my house is gonna smell like burnt grease,” he said. “You won’t be allowed into my kitchen because it’s gonna look like a crime scene. Aubrey and I are probably gonna be on the backside of a really healthy argument, and you’re just getting chicken wings.”

He then painted a picture of the scene at his lesbian neighbors’ home. “We walked in, and their house smelled like sandalwood. They had all the food set up in the kitchen: 2 types of wings, crispy fries, grilled zucchini strips, real baked beans, street corn, mussels tossed in a white wine sauce, and we had silk pie for dessert.”

“And somehow,” he mused, “they cleaned up while we were there, and we didn’t see it happen, and when we left, they gave us wildflower seeds and a succulent.” He held up the items from his goodie bag in absolute awe, seeming almost near tears.

Watson, a white man, bills himself on TikTok as “your unreliable source of neighborhood gossip.” His videos often center on sharing with his more than 350 thousand followers about his relationships with people in the community who hold marginalized identities.

In another video, he joked that having a gay friend has “consequences.”

“My best friend is a man named Marcus who just happens to be gay and effervescent,” he said, “and since I’ve been spending more time with him, I have this whole skincare routine.”

He said he also now wants to go out for brunch on the weekends and uses words like “fierce.”
