Archer & pole dance influencer goes viral for explaining how transphobia hurts everyone

Blumineck — a self-described “archer, pole dancer, and nerd” based in Leeds, England, with over 4.1 million followers on YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram — posted a viral video on Monday, directly addressing web commenters who have accused him and his wife of being transgender — both he and his wife are cisgender.

In the video, which has been viewed over 6 million times on various video platforms, the viral influencer explains how the policing of gender hurts cis and trans people alike, and he reminds viewers, “How you dress and what you do for fun don’t determine your identity.”

Blumineck normally posts videos of himself doing impressive trick shots with his bow and arrow or spinning and hanging from a stripper pole while wearing unique clothing — like high-heeled boots, harem pants, or nipple pasties over his bare chest. Other times, he will spar with his wife using different medieval weapons, like swords.

In his Monday video, entitled “Educating haters (again),” Blumineck posted screenshots of web commenters telling him to get a DNA test, calling him and his wife “two dudes,” and claiming that her name is Max (her name is Maisie) and saying she has a bigger Adam’s apple than him.

“Are we not past this?” he says at the start of his video. “I’ve been going out of my way to show that how you dress and what you do for fun don’t determine your identity. But there are still some idiots out there calling my wife a man because she happens to have some muscle. So let’s get a couple more things clear.”

He then says that, because aging women are at higher risk of weakened bones through osteoporosis, lifting weights and building muscle are the best ways to combat that risk. “Being strong is arguably far more important for the average woman than it is for the average man,” he says.

“Secondly,” he adds, “I don’t give a gnat’s fart whether you think that I or my wife are transgender because it doesn’t matter.”

“Policing people’s gender hurts everyone,” he continues. “It hurts transgender people, who, whether you like it or not, are one of the most vulnerable populations,” he adds, displaying a headline from a 2018 Williams Institute study showing that trans people are four times more likely than cisgender people to be victims of violent crime.

“It also hurts all women, whether they happen to be taller or stronger, or have short hair, or wear different makeup, or who otherwise don’t fit into society’s incredibly narrow beauty standards,” he says, displaying headlines about a cis teen girl who was forced to prove her gender in a restaurant’s women’s restroom, a cis Olympic boxer who was harassed over false claims that she’s trans, and two women tried for slander after claiming that French First Lady Brigitte Macron is trans.

“And it hurts men,” he continues, noting a November 2025 headline about young men who still feel pressured to act “tough” despite rejecting “‘cookie’-cutter masculinity.” He says men are “sick of the pedophiles and sex offenders that call themselves role models” — a possible allusion to toxic manosphere influencer Andrew Tate, who has been accused of human trafficking, rape, sex with a minor, and other crimes.

Blumineck said that many men are “trying to find their own way through life that causes less harm to themselves and others around them.”

“So be masculine, be feminine, be neither, or be both, but be kind,” he concludes.
