Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton (R) asked his supporters at a rally to harass everyone they know until they vote Republican.
Paxton is running for a US Senate seat and may pull off what some thought was impossible just earlier this year: losing a statewide election in Texas as a Republican. So he’s introducing a new strategy: getting his core supporters to harass their entourages.

“I need you to get on Right Insight, which is our app, where you can put all your contacts in, and you can track each day of voting, whether your friends are voting,” he told the crowd at a San Antonio rally. “And then you can go remind them.”
“Every day.”
“‘If you want me to stop harassing you, go vote Republican!’” he told people to tell their friends as the crowd laughed. “Can y’all do that? And I’ll have people outside the doors who’ll help you do that.”
People commented that they thought this campaign tactic was intrusive.
