Stick Season 2 arrives on Apple TV next month
Apple TV has announced November 4 as the premiere date for the second season of “Stick”. The comedy starring Owen Wilson will open with two episodes, with new episodes arriving each Wednesday through December 30. Created by Jason Keller, the comedy series will continue exploring the challenges of professional golf and the personal setbacks that shape its characters.
The upcoming season follows Santi as he moves closer to competing professionally, while his mentor, Pryce Cahill, begins reconsidering his own future in the sport. After years away from competitive golf, Pryce sees a chance to return when former rival Clark Ross encourages him to take another shot at the game.
He sets an ambitious goal of becoming the oldest golfer to win a major championship. His attempt to revive his career also forces him to confront the reasons he failed to fulfil his potential as a professional player. With golf instructor Amanda and his caddie supporting his efforts, Pryce works to regain his competitive form.
Wilson reprises his role as Pryce, with Peter Dager returning as Santi, and Marc Maron portraying Mitts. Others include Mariana Treviño as Elena, Lilli Kay as Zero, Judy Greer as Amber-Linn, and Timothy Olyphant as Clark Ross. Rhea Seehorn joins the cast as Amanda. The new season also features John Higgins, Billy Zane, Rex Linn, Sasha Alexander, and Missi Pyle.
The series’ executive producers include Keller, Wilson, Ben Silverman, Howard T. Owens, Rodney Ferrell, Drew Buckley, Lee Eisenberg, Natalie Sandy, Christopher Moynihan, Bill Callahan, Valerie Faris, Jonathan Dayton, and Jaffar Mahmood.
