- She attended his new West End play, The Lives of Others.
- Luke Thompson recently confirmed that Bridgerton Season 5 has finished filming.
The Bridgerton bond is real. It’s been months since newcomer Yerin Ha first stepped into the shoes of Sophie Baek, leading Season 4 of the Netflix Regency romance alongside Luke Thompson‘s Benedict Bridgerton. After wrapping up the promo tour this spring and filming Bridgerton Season 5 over the summer, Ha is showing her support for her costar’s new role.
The actress snapped a photo outside of the Adelphi Theatre where Thompson’s new play, The Lives of Others, is currently showing on a limited run. Thompson stars alongside Keira Knightley and Stephen Dillane in the drama, which is playing on the West End until January. It’s based on the Oscar-winning 2007 film of the same name, revolving around a writer and actor who are placed under state surveillance in 1984 East Germany.
The Lives of Others technically opens on October 29, but Ha caught one of its preview showings. “Incredible!” was her one-word reaction, adding a sparkle emoji in her Instagram Story on October 22.

Two days earlier, Thompson shared an update on the status of Bridgerton Season 5, which is about Francesca Bridgerton (Hannah Dodd) and Michaela Stirling’s (Masali Baduza) romance. Promoting his play on ITV’s This Morning, he teased Benedict and Sophie’s return after their happily-ever-after in Season 4. “We just completed [Season 5] now, and yeah, it’s gone well,” he said.

Earlier this year, Bridgerton showrunner Jess Brownell confirmed that Ha and Thompson would reprise their roles. She mentioned her eagerness to explore Benedict and Sophie navigating marriage now that “they can be in society going forward because of the Queen [Golda Rosheuvel] sanctioning this lie that gets created.”
She continued, “Benedict doesn’t automatically become conventional just because he’s married now. He’s still a really fun, romantic, excitable guy, and getting to see the way that that translates to his passion for Sophie within the context of society will be really beautiful.”
Ha has spoken previously about creating bonds with her costars, including Thompson, that extend off set. “It’s a real gift to be able to create friendships,” Ha previously told TV Insider, “because in work, they can be your colleagues, but I think it’s very special when your colleagues actually start to become your friends, and I can genuinely say that all have become my friends.”
