Based on Austen’s 1813 novel, the trailer follows Elizabeth Bennet and her complicated relationship with Mr. Darcy, a wealthy and prideful man. The two meet at a party, setting off a series of events as they continue to cross paths.

Although the two often clash over their social status, they gradually let go of their pride and reconsider their opinions of each other. Meanwhile, Elizabeth and her sisters must navigate their personal lives, romantic relationships, family expectations, and the social pressures surrounding women and marriage.

The series will be helmed by bestselling author and screenwriter Dolly Alderton, alongside Heartstopper director Euros Lyn. In an official press release, Alderton expressed her gratitude for being part of the project.

She added, “The book is a gift to adapt — packed with drama and depth as well as comedy and charm. In it lies the opportunity to examine the complexities of love, family, friendship, and society, while aspiring to Austen’s delightfully observational voice.”

In the series, Corrin stars as Elizabeth, Lowden as Mr. Darcy, and Colman as Mrs. Bennet. The ensemble also includes Rufus Sewell, Freya Mavor, Rhea Norwood, Hopey Parish, Hollie Avery, Jamie Demetriou, Daryl McCormack, Louis Partridge, and Fiona Shaw, among many more.

Alderton, Corrin, and Lyn will also serve as executive producers alongside Laura Lankester, Will Johnston, and Louise Mutter, while Lisa Osborne will serve as the producer. The six-episode series is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on December 3, 2026.
