Trans Republican Caitlin Jenner called herself a “hypocrite” for accepting Glamour’s Woman of the Year Award in 2015 and then going on to advocate against trans women participating in women’s sports.

Jenner – who became an Olympic gold medalist before transitioning – made the comment while speaking to anti-LGBTQ+ publication OutKick.

“Here I am fighting the battle to keep biological men out of women’s sports, okay?” Jenner told right-wing reporter Tomi Lahren. “Because it’s not right. It just is not right. And I want to protect women… And I thought what a hypocrite I am that here I am fighting this battle, biological men out of women’s sports, but back when I came out, what did I accept? Glamour’s Woman of the Year award. And I go, ‘What a hypocrite!’ I’m still XY.”

“Biologically, I’m female, okay? Everything’s fixed, okay?” she said, implying that she’s had bottom surgery. “But genetically, I’m still XY. There’s nothing I can do about that.”

Jenner then said she does feel the country has gone too far right against trans women and said she’s against anti-trans bathroom bans, which she called “not right” and “not safe.”
