Matt Reeves has shared a new behind-the-scenes photo from the set of the highly anticipated movie The Batman Part 2. After several delays, filming for the sequel began last week. The new photo has further fueled fan excitement online.

Director Matt Reeves recently shared an uncaptioned image from the set of The Batman Part 2. It appears to be a photo of a production’s sound cart, with Robert Pattinson’s Batman Funko Pop placed next to a digital clock that reads “8:12 AM. MON.”
The post has since gone viral and has drawn strong reactions from fans already. While some are demanding more images, others are theorizing about whether the time on the clock is a clue to the film’s plot.
This is the second image that the director has shared from The Batman Part 2’s set. He previously shared an image from the day filming began.
As well as directing, Reeves has also co-written the film with Mattson Tomlin and is serving as one of its producers. The sequel will feature the majority of the central cast from Reeves’ first film. Meanwhile, Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Brian Tyree Henry, and Charles Dance have joined the ensemble. The movie is currently scheduled to be released on October 1, 2027.
The release of The Batman Part 2 will mark a five-year gap since the original debuted in theaters on March 4, 2022. The first movie made over $772.7 million at the global box office, against a reported $200 million budget. Additionally, it received critical acclaim, earning scores of 85% from critics and 87% from audiences on the review aggregator site Rotten Tomatoes.
The success of the movie also spawned a spin-off series, The Penguin, which won nine Primetime Emmy Awards.
