Atomic Blonde is coming to Prime Video next month

Charlize Theron’s Atomic Blonde is getting a new streaming home next month. According to TV Guide, the action thriller will arrive on Prime Video on September 1, 2026.

Directed by David Leitch and written by Kurt Johnstad, Atomic Blonde was released in the United States on July 28, 2017. The film follows Lorraine Broughton, a top agent who is sent to Berlin shortly before the collapse of the Berlin Wall. Her mission begins after MI6 agent James Gascoigne is killed by KGB agent Yuri Bakhtin, who steals a microfilm document called The List.

Hidden inside Gascoigne’s wristwatch, the document contains the names of intelligence agents operating in Berlin. Lorraine is sent to recover the stolen list and works with Berlin station chief David Percival during the mission. Her time in the city is later recounted during a debriefing with MI6 executive Eric Gray and CIA agent Emmett Kurzfeld, with the film moving between the debriefing and events from her mission.

The cast includes Charlize Theron as Lorraine Broughton, James McAvoy as David Percival, John Goodman as Emmett Kurzfeld, Til Schweiger as The Watchmaker, Eddie Marsan as Spyglass, and Sofia Boutella as Delphine Lasalle among others. On Rotten Tomatoes, Atomic Blonde holds a 79 percent critics rating based on 365 reviews. Meanwhile, its audience rating stands at 64 percent.

Allison Rose of FlickDirect noted that the film has a “good flow and pacing and just the right amount of action so it didn’t go over the top.”
