The actress playing Chun-Li in Street Fighter has shared a blunt message about her physical transformation in new BTS photos. Directed by Kitao Sakurai, the upcoming live-action adaptation is based on Capcom‘s blockbuster fighting video game franchise.
Callina Liang, who will play fan-favorite Street Fighter character Chun-Li in the upcoming movie, has sent a clear message to anyone who is still in doubt over her physical transformation for the role.
In a series of Instagram Stories and posts, the actress revealed her full Chun-Li costume while showcasing her overall transformation. “I Don’t Have Time to Photoshop”, she wrote in a story while sharing a brief clip from the movie’s set.
In one of her interviews for Street Fighter, Callina Liang revealed she went through an intense diet routine and training to grow her thighs to match Chun-Li’s video game appearance.
“When I was bulking, I ate 12 eggs a day. Every two hours I had to have a meal, and I was on the verge of throwing up. But it worked. By the end of the shoot, my thighs had grown six-and-a-half centimeters each,” she told Empire, as reported by IGN.

Callina Liang’s full role as Chun-Li in the Street Fighter movie is still under wraps. However, she’s expected to portray a mysterious catalyst between two crucial characters.
The story follows estranged Street Fighters Ryu, played by Andrew Koji, and Ken Masters, played by Noah Centineo, as they are thrown back into combat when Chun-Li recruits them for the next World Warrior tournament.
According to an official description, this tournament is “a brutal clash of fists, fate, and fury. But behind this battle royale lies a deadly conspiracy that forces them to face off against each other and the demons of their past. And if they don’t, it’s GAME OVER!”
Street Fighter’s massive cast also features Jason Momoa as Blanka, Joe ‘Roman Reigns’ Anoa’i as Akuma, David Dastmalchian as M. Bison, Cody Rhodes as Guile, Andrew Schulz as Dan Hibiki, Vidyut Jammwal as Dhalsim, Orville Peck as Vega, and Olivier Richters as Zangief, among others.
