Jalen Brunson and Colin Jost are returning to television screens today with their highly anticipated series. The show premieres on NBC and streams live on Peacock on September 26, 2026.
The New York Knicks star and 2026 NBA Finals MVP is making his hosting debut on the Season 52 Premiere of Saturday Night Live (SNL), which airs live tonight. This latest gig will notably make Brunson the first active NBA player to host the show since LeBron James in 2007.
While Brunson is hosting, the global K-pop girl group KATSEYE will also make their debut on the iconic sketch comedy series as musical guests. Colin Jost, meanwhile, returns as a repertory player.
The long-awaited episode will broadcast on NBC at 11:30 p.m. ET/8:30 p.m. PT and stream live simultaneously on Peacock.
Saidah Belo-Osagie & Grace Reiter headline SNL’s new cast additions
Saturday Night Live Season 52 has seen notable additions to its cast, while some longtime members have also departed.
Among the newly added cast members are American High’s Grace Reiter and comedian and filmmaker Saidah Belo-Osagie. Reiter is the first cast member born in the 2000s and in the 21st century, having been born in 2001.
Meanwhile, Ashley Padilla and Jane Wickline, who joined the series in Season 50, were promoted to repertory status. In contrast, Tommy Brennan, Jeremy Culhane, Ben Marshall, Kam Patterson, and Veronika Slowikowska, all of whom joined the show in Season 51, remain as featured players.
The remaining repertory players, Mikey Day, Andrew Dismukes, Marcello Hernández, James Austin Johnson, Sarah Sherman, and Kenan Thompson, round out the ensemble for Season 52 of Saturday Night Live.
