ComingSoon can exclusively reveal the trailer for Marrow, an upcoming horror movie featuring Michael Ironside. Directed by Mitch McLeod of Silhouette fame, the film will also feature Halloween star Danielle Harris. Scatena & Rosner Films has acquired the worldwide distribution rights to the film.
Marrow is based on a series of real-life police files regarding stalking in a small town in Texas. Its story follows Jamie Foster, a former vlogger who wants to revitalize her career by inviting her stalker onto the show.
Foster does so in hopes of outing the stalker as a serial killer who has targeted several influencers. While this stunt puts the social spotlight back on her, she begins to realize there’s more than her life at stake when the stalker’s identity is called into question.
“Marrow really stood out to me because of the way it explores our obsession with true crime and how far people are willing to go in the constant chase for views, attention, and relevance,” said Zach Stampone, VP of Distribution at S&R Films.
“It takes something deeply rooted in our culture and pulls you into a much darker and more unsettling place. There’s a confidence in the filmmaking and performances that really impressed me. You can tell this was made by a team that knew exactly what kind of film they wanted to make,” he added.

What do we see in the Marrow trailer?
The trailer begins with a narration from Foster’s digital show, Embracing the Paradox. She struggles to come up with an idea to revitalize the show’s success. A series of shots show an unknown assailant attacking various women.
On the show, a mysterious caller tells Foster that he wants to tell her a secret that is “burning a hole” in his “soul.” The mysterious caller is then shown tormenting Foster and various other women in a variety of setups.
Besides Willis, Harris, and Ironside, Marrow features Matthew Tompkins, Ashley Spicer, Phil Harrison, Abby Joy, Rrian Rhonda, Kristin Payne, and Vanessa Sun. McLeod directs the film from a script co-written by him, Jessica Dawn Willis, and novelist Preston Fassel. McLeod and Willis’ Absentia Pictures serve as producers, joined by Tompkins and Jon Keeyes.
“Marrow is based on true events surrounding a stalking that occurred many years ago to somebody who meant a great deal to me,” McLeod revealed. “The idea has been in my head for a while, so getting to sit down with star and co-writer Jessica Dawn Willis and get the ideas on paper and bring it to life on screen has been a truly rewarding experience.”
An official theatrical and digital release date for Marrow will be announced by S&R Films in the coming months.
