After spending a few years mostly producing other filmmakers’ work, James Wan is heading back behind the camera for a remake of 2019 Korean crime thriller ‘The Gangster, The Cop, The Devil.’
And while he has the original movie’s Don Lee (AKA Ma Dong-seok, ‘Eternals’) on the call sheet to reprise his role, The Hollywood Reporter brings word that Keanu Reeves is in talks to co-star.
The script for this one comes from ‘Fantastic Four: First Steps’ Eric Pearson, though the likes of Shay Hatten (‘Resident Evil’) and Brian Helgeland (‘L.A. Confidential’) previously worked on it.

What’s the story of ‘The Gangster, The Cop, The Devil’?

The basic story for this one follows a police officer and a crime boss who reluctantly team-up to track down a serial killer. With each having their own motives to capture the killer, double-crosses and cat-and-mouse games ensue, along with a load of police-vs-criminals and gang-vs-gang action.
Where else can we see Keanu Reeves?
Most recently seen in ‘Outcome,’ Reeves has a few movies either in the works or on the way, including satire ‘The Entertainment System Is Down’ and ‘Sonic the Hedgehog 4’ (where he voices Shadow), plus sci-fi movie ‘Shiver.’
