NBC News has called the race for Arizona attorney general for out Democrat Kris Mayes. She has won over 56% of the vote with 74% of votes counted.

Mayes, the incumbent, defeated Republican challenger and state Sen. Warren Petersen. Her win comes as Democrats take a trifecta in the purple state: the governor, state house, and state senate will all be blue for the first time in 60 years.

It wasn’t all good news in the Grand Canyon State, though. Prop. 318, which would ban trans students from using the restrooms and joining sports teams with their gender, is predicted to pass.

Mayes spoke at a Democratic watch party late last night: “Oh my God, how amazing is it? We’re gonna have a trifecta in the state of Arizona! They said it couldn’t be done, but we did it!”
